The Securities and Exchange Commission's eFAST portal is the required channel for filing corporate reports like the General Information Sheet (GIS), Audited Financial Statements (AFS), and Articles of Incorporation (AOI) updates. eFAST caps most document attachments at 2MB per file, which is a surprisingly tight limit once you factor in scanned signatures, stamped pages, and notarization.
Scanned PDFs often weigh 10–30MB because each page is really a full-resolution bitmap. When eFAST rejects your upload, the fix is almost always image compression — not changing the page count. This tool re-encodes the JPEG images inside your PDF at progressively lower quality until the file slides under 2MB, with the 2MB preset pre-selected for you. Compression happens entirely inside your browser, so sensitive filings never touch a server.
